Just picked this up on Amazon UK for £15 / €18. I do feel sorry for whoever paid over €218 on Discogs for it. Hope it was at least an autographed copy. FYI, Amazon UK have it at £23 as of 18 July 2024.

I'm picking up high frequency distortion on all of side 1, and only parts of side b. Very odd, but does not sound right. Fluance rt85 w/ at-vmn95ml

Edited one year agoI’m surprised to say that my copy sounds pretty good. It’s mostly flat as well. I was happy to find this at a thrift store in real good shape. It wasn’t new but it was pretty close.

Edited 3 years agoI' just made a back to back comparison white lp vs original uk press and new cd vs original uk cd.
As for vinyl, the old one is a bit high frequency heavy but sounds pretty bright. With the new one they tried to gain more mid-range which does not work most of the time, as it starts to sound clunk.
The only difference I got comparing CDs is rhat new one sounds way louder.
So both originals actually sound better to my ears. -
The label on my record is glued only around the edges, so the whole label bubbles. That means one side of the record is unplayable coz the record cannot lay flat. Unpleasantly surprised by the low quality control of Optimal Media. Usually you can expect that from PZ media, not Optimal. The record was also very dusty.
Not amused, expecially because the overall contents of the box is pretty average anyway. -
