Edited one year agoBought used in VG/VG condition for 12 CAD. Record is mostly flat and well centered. A lot of surface noise, clicks and many pops, mostly within the tight grooves sections... I wasn't expecting miracles considering the price. We'll see after further cleaning, but I don't expect a big improvement. As reported, it sounds quite flat, compressed, bright/sterile and "splashy". Separation is only decent, nothing spectacular. It definitely sounds less aggressive, metallic and painful than the 2007 remaster from digital streaming platforms to my ears, but it doesn't match the airyness and the smoothness of my German CD (CBRCD 101)... It can easily become fatiguing when played at high volume in my system. Since the recent 2021 white record edition is sounding like total crap to me (too "washed" and unnatural), I'll wait for a potential reissue in the future (hoping for a better remix on 2-record edition)... 3/5

Edited 3 years agoDecent press. Recommended if you find a clean one for cheap, got mine for $5 and I'm happy with it. Not a massive audiophile myself.
EDIT:
Listened to this with headphones finally, and I still think this holds up. Had to adjust my levels a bit to get the sound I desired (increased bass, decreased treble) but overall it still sounds pretty clear. This definitely could sound better as the dynamics aren't amazing, but I'm more than content with this. YMMV -
