Could be a hot stamper. This pressing has huge soundstage with alot separation. Very clear and energetic, sounding live at times. The Beautiful Ones is a revelatory experience, cementing my belief that it's the greatest ballad every recorded. Purple Rain is one of the pinnacles of the 80s and it's presented in smashing fashion on this club release.

Many club pressings use their own metal so that is what helps make them more desirable to audiophiles and collectors.

Bought this pressing today at the record store, sounds almost like new. I’ve heard newer pressings of albums that sound worse than this one. Came with a poster as well!

I have one that has...
SIDE 1 Matrix / Runout: <BHD> W1 25110 A G1B G1 A9
SIDE 2 Matrix / Runout: <B-AD> W1 25110 B G1A G1 A14
Is this another variant?? -
I've heard people say things about club records; I can attest that this album sounds incredible. Actually, it has more life and richness than my standard pressing (also, from '84). Don't hesitate, buy an enjoy!
