Edited 5 months agoFantastic pressing. ALS sounds very good in mono, too. The stereo has Coltrane hard panned which leaves me feeling a bit fatigued at points. The mono centers Coltrane without the hard pan distraction. The other players aren't as pushed back feeling/sounding as in stereo. I have many copies of this album, including the UHQR 45rpm. I believe this album is best listened to at 33 1/3rpm and in mono. Just an opinion. If you can get a Van Gelder fold down at a decent price, do it.
