The music sounds rich, deep, and textured... definitely not just a “digital transfer to vinyl”. As a matter of fact, there’s a real presence to a lot of the instruments here, and an already great collection of songs gets elevated by the sound quality here.
My pressing is relatively quiet all around - some very very small “static” during the very, very, quiet ages, but it could be due to environmental factors/static electricity in the air. (Probably just needs a good brushing with some anti-static solution)
Very very happy I didn’t sleep on this - and glad I picked up the Slime Green variant as it looks fantastic and matches the cover art very well. -
First off, I love the artwork. They really knocked it outta the park far as I'm concerned, its a joy to glance on every listen. The color of the record is gorgeous in it's texture, offering a dope look on any turntable. My copy arrived flat, with no static, skips or hiss of any kind.
This album is rich. The strings present add a resonance that takes getting used to if you're unfamiliar with orchestrated music of this kind, ala Pet Sounds or Revolver. It fills a room nicely and really touches every corner of the very space it's sounds are meant to liberate you from. A listening experience unique to times like these. Superb product from the band here and I'm sure a staple Classic album by time the 20s are done. Definitely their best stuff since White imo.
