As alternate covers go, its cheesy as hell but I cant see myself parting with it just because of how unique it is. At least its not as bad as the atrocious Mirage american repress. What were they thinking with that?!
Moonmadness is either one of the best albums the band put out or a slight let down that doesnt hold a candle to Mirage. Im somewhat in the latter camp. Personally I miss the jazzy aspects of their debut and wish the band had continued to go down that road. Moon feels almost too airy in the production for its own good. Still Chord Changes and Lunar Sea are very good instrumentals that standout quite well from the rest of the album, its just either to fantastical or somber for my liking. -
