Sounds really good. Pressed well, centered, with minimal to no surface noise. Glad I scooped this while it's still around.
-
This VMP pressing does not include the extra verse found on "is he 4 real" like it is on the Original pressing.
-
Excellent sound quality although one of the inner tracks had some surface noise. Also one of my records color is so dark it looks black unless you hold it up directly under a light. I also own the 2014 reissue and this is mastered quite well. Really wish they went with a creamy Jade Green like the TV screen on the cover. VMP is horrible with color selection

Record arrived yesterday. Cover/sleeve was wrapped. ed VMP and they confirmed to sent a replacement right away. This is the third time i had issues. Maybe they should do more quality control before shipping out. Must say they always sent replacements but to affoid should be better.
Sound quality: perfect!
I compared with my original 1996 version and somehow they got it more warm and more balanced. The bass a little more tight and overall a bit more detailed. The original is a bit louder but this one gives more greatness overall. Recommended pickup! -
Edited 4 years agoGreat sounding release, a tiny bit of inner groove distortion at some points but it suits the album's very round and warm sound (for an east coast album). A few surface noises on 'Yesh Yesh Yall' but nothing major. Needless to say, beautiful packaging !

Sound is great, and this album truly needed a reissue. Great product from VMP, if only their customer service and business ethics were still on point.
