I when I bought this from Homegrown records in Derry Northern Ireland, the guy behind the counter told me that not only is this release garbage, but you would clear a million floors with it. Pfffft

I have some questions about this release. In my copy, the "flip side" label doesn't read "Yoshitoshi" and the logo is the twisted/swirled one, like the one that shows on the first video on the list. Is it the same release?

Edited 8 years agoNow here is some serious dope shit pressed over a heavyweight slab of vinyl! The first time i heard this was back in a 1996 DJ set by Danny Tenaglia @ Avalon, Boston where he rinsed the "War Of The World Mix", straight slammin' bomb! This can't ever be rivaled curated by a master of this genre John Ciafone! Play this loud on a proper sound system and you'll experience the "what the hell was that" feeling :) For those who know! Highly recommended piece of dope shit! This is Yoshitoshi's best release for me!

If you are here - you are on the right track. Listen
Tick tock (Apocalypse now mix) up to 9.27 and you'll understand.
John Ciafone is fuckin genius. -
I have played this track from Paris to Berlin and the response is always the same lol WHAT THE HELL IS That

Edited 11 years agoAfter first hearing this at the Yoshitoshi Shop back in '97 (or was it still Music Now then?), I was thrilled to death with the spatial arrangements of the pounding / pounding / pounding drums and the signature Ciafone trackiness. Then I heard it later on that summer played by one of the Wamdue Kids on a proper big sound system at the house room of some big Philly rave.. I have both the Yoshitoshi 12" and the Phonography 2x12" and the original mixes are just far superior...

Heaving, heavy harbingers of impending destruction, these tracks are supreme chuggers produced by John Ciafone of Mood II Swing.
Cut loud and pressed well.
Perfect record!
