Technical Notes from the liner notes (back cover): Home recordings were made with a Telefunken SM2C microphone on an Otari MX55 1/4" 2 Track at 15ips. Custom tube Studer A820 playback was cut directly to lacquer on a Neumann VMS 80 lathe with an Ortofon DSS 731 cutterhead. Edited 4 years agoThis might be silly to say, but I think this specific pressing, with the topical music and the hand-made cover, will serve as a perfect historical encapsulation of COVID times years down the road. A very neat addition to the collection for sure.

Edited 4 years agoDave and Gillian are masters of their craft. Musically, this album does not disappoint. Any fan of theirs has come to expect that. Sonically, this pressing is out of this world good. TAS Super List good. Unfortunately it was pressed in very limited quantity but if you can afford it and one happens to come up for sale, get it. It really does sound as good as everyone says it does. Hopefully it'll be repressed at some point (ahem Acony, I'm talking to you) so more can enjoy it.

Amazing sound, just look at the analog lineage! Pretty sure this just moved into first place of best sounding in the collection!

As a matter of fidelity, this is one of the best records I've ever heard. The quietude of the object privileges nothing but the presence of the music. This LP is replicable, sonic brilliance: spin and spin again. This is why we pursue the Beauty we all long for in daily life. I am not being hyperbolic. This album is evidence of attention, tradition, craft, and magic made by hand.

Edited 4 years agoLike others, I am simply blown away by how clean and rich this vinyl LP sounds! Absoultely ZERO surface noise - this is what all vinyl should aspire to!
