The original outer shrink-wrap had a hype sticker (some of which can be found removed from the shrink and re-affixed to the box) which reads:
"STORYBOOK ALBUM

Some copies also have "SAMPLE COPY" stickers on the outer shrink-wrap. These may or may not be accompanied by a gold promo stamp found on either the front or back cover.

Some copies may be found with a sticker covering the original catalogue number on the spine, with the revised catalogue number being MCA-6145. Copies with this sticker should not be considered a separate version as these stickers were added post-manufacture.

This is, ittedly a bit tongue-in cheek, but if you are an MJ fan, this should be in your collection.
As for "Someone in the Dark"--A bit sappy yes, but a great song written by Temperton & Bergman.

Note: The 7" promo of this song is incredibly rare, making it the #1 MJ collectable....However, this boxed set is plentiful.

Another variant exists and is closest to this issued version. Ordered directly from a cereal box promotional tie-in, it contains everything here, along with a fold-out poster of Michael and E.T. (like on labels). Outer sleeve that holds everything is just blue with no markings. Slight variation on runout too (EX. Side A is "MCA 3240-AM5 回-G-回 IIIII IIII").
