One of my favourite old school Hip Hop albums of all time
Every track is great and funny intro / outro -
The first Rap album i learned all the words too.....2nd year of high school, drinking stolen school rugby port..
sellin pot to teachers and students...being chased bye cops every 2nd weekend on the back of my cousins motorbike..
bombin the local line....constant police harassment.....sk8in everywhere...sk8in ALLTHE TIME...This was the soundtrack to 1988....as well as Surfin......Ravin...discovering sydney,s gay dance scene....playin in Metallica covers bands
ice t was tellin me ''I got Power'' -
this is a classic...high rollers..im your pusher...drama.... pure classics!!!!!! if you dont like hip hop dont comment!!!!

Ice-T maybe macho posturing, but what poetry and isn't that sorta what raps founded on? And what a week in the studio!! Love the Hustlers Convention parody Soul On Ice. Conscious, but not a complete polictical manifesto, unlike some!! "Somebody line up the suckers who refuse to recognise the truth".

Power has a definite thrown-together-in-a-week sound to it. Most of the tracks are instantly forgettable. The exception here is I'm Your Pusher, a no-nonsense anti-drugs song based upon the idea that music is the only way to get high! Others have copied the drugs/music analogy since. Girls L.G.B.N.A.F. is the obligatory Ice-T sex song, and brings much-needed light relief to the mix. The rest of this album is, unfortunately, just some more of Ice-T's ( and rap in general ) macho posturing.
