I have this album and I am satisfied. Sounds great. Solid optics and processing, no skipping, original cover art work - everything fine. It even has all the songs from the digital release. Can't complain.
I wanted to have the album as a physical copy but the band didn't want to deliver for a long time. So this bootleg came at just the right time.
Paid 40 euros for a double album which is okay - especially compared to the prices the band themselves later charged. And what records generally cost today anyway. -
What a let down. The audio they pressed from was flawed towards the end of the album and skips like others have said, just like a CD would sound when skipping. It's actually kind of comical because it almost sounds like an intentional joke. It did give me a laugh hahaha. Avoid this sh*t pressing.

I like tool very much but I'm tired of the hype of the new release. I saw them this year live and I'm close to say, that's it! no CD bought yet and the vinyl release is still TBA.... I keep on listening to the great old stuff

Edited 5 years agohow does the vinyl actually sound.?? til this day (oct. 22nd 2019) all vinyl editions are unofficial (bootleg) pressings and people pay a shitload of money for these on ebay.! i've read on multiple sites that the official vinyl editions will be released in december/by the end of the year. so, what's the deal with these awful looking unofficial pressings.?? i mean, c'mon...just plain white inner sleeves, the printed tracklist on the back cover looks crappy af, the label stickers on the vinyl itself are often stuck wrong (not placed in the exact middle). no record collector, no die-hard fan or even just a regular fan would take these pressings seriously. i wouldn't be surprised if the vinyl sounds absolutely terrible...
