During the 2000's, Endymion and Art Of Fighters were two of the biggest names in Hardcore. Both were known for their well produced and catchy big melodies. It seemed inevitable that the two artists would make a track together.

Let's Get It On does illustrate quite well why these artists were popular during the 2000's. If the intro and outro are the bread, then the meat of the sandwich would be the melody. As you'd expect with both AOF and Endymion, the melody is excellent, a bit more low key (i.e., not so "in your face") but it has a nice rhythm or chord progression to it. More importantly, it works rather well on the dancefloor. The other key ingredient is the well chosen samples from the killer track by DMX (rest in peace) and Swizz Beatz that fits perfectly in Let's Get It On. It gives the track a real party vibe to it, ironic given the name of the B-Side. My only complaint is the intro beats is annoyingly too long and could be considered DJ unfriendly. Simple but super effective mainstream Hardcore from Traxtorm and Enzyme.

Party Starter was made by fellow Traxtorm artists AOF and Mad Dog. I was never that keen on Mad Dog's music, with that bias in mind, the tune is OK if not pedestrian. Like many tracks from this genre, whether you like the song or not depends on if you enjoy the melody. Here, it's fairly decent although it sounds like many of tunes from around the same time. However, I was surprised that the sample was Will Smith, the vocals sound like they are pitched down, so it sort of sounds like Ludacris. More of a filler track, and it didn't change my opinion of Mad Dog.

The picture disc Artwork is nice and doesn't really muffle the sound quality of both tracks. This was the first of several records written by Endymion and AOF, each one getting progressively worse, which unfortunately mirrors the slow but gradual downfall of Millennium Hardcore. 2008 was, in my opinion, the last great year for this genre, and Let's Get It On is a shining example of that. Another successful record between The Netherlands and Italy.
