Solar Fields – Leaving Home

This is a real downtempo hidden gem. My copy sounds quite good. Few snack, crackle & pops here and there (particularly at the beginning of song ”Monogram”), but those you really can’t avoid with the records pressed these days.

Inner sleeves do not fit very well into too tight designed gatefold sleeve.

A great album indeed, the matte cover looks also very good and the vinyls are packed outside of the cover. but the quality control of the vinyl is just bad, mine came with sharp/chipped edges and missing parts!
The cut was no way near clear, by far the worst vinyl I ever seen.
Sent back and the second one is much better, still some sharp edges but acceptable.

Sounds great, packaging is awesome although the inner sleeves could be of higher quality

A nice album indeed, I decided to get this not too long ago, and so far I am pleased with the quality of the music, and the nice packaging.

The vinyl record is nice, and not warped, and no clicks, hissing or crackles, just smooth music.
The inner sleeves are unlined, generic and black, not much to boast about really.
The outer gatefold itself is pretty nice, it has a matte-finish to it, and it really fits the colors!

The only issue I can see, while a minor one, is that they must not have demo tested these inner sleeves with the gatefold, as they well above the average in of difficulty when it comes to taking them out of the gatefold, and especially when putting it in. It does not slide in smooth, you have to really plan and dedicate all your movements to this action of putting the record back in without ripping anything.
Also, the inner sleeves actually protrude from the gatefold pockets,I have tried many a times to fit them in, but it seems the packaging was not made exactly to fit, which is really annoying... it makes taking this album in and out of a plastic sleeve all that more irritating, and is most likely destined to be ripped at one point or another. I feel these are issues that should have been ironed out in the earliest stages of design. It does not matter if you change to another sleeve, the record doesn't go inside all the way, it is about 3mm away from fitting flush with the edge.

Still, an album I will treasure for a long time, I am glad I got it =)
I would like to hear if anyone else has this problem with the fit of the record! Dunno if it is just mine..

So the actual dimensions of the gatefold itself aren't the best I've seen, far from it. Good try though!
