Beautiful disc, rough remaster. It's rather unfortunate that this had to be remastered. The new vocals are lacking tremendously. Many songs sounds fine, but some are just completely ruined. Any yells or collective screams or demonic voices are completely toned down, and its like listening to a calmer Megadeth -which I don't think anyone wants. I would advise everyone, long time fan or newcomer, to avoid this product unless you want to use it as a decoration.

This and an original LP release is the only way to have this album. While the Remix/Remaster is not a total disaster, it has re-recorded vocals on a few tracks due to them being lost on the original tapes. Like most remixes it leaves you just wanting to hear the original release. Why bands do this puzzles me. It's much like the Star Wars Special Editions, changes made that do not make sense. There is only one good thing about Megadeth remixes and that's the bass guitar and over all bass in the mix is louder and like most albums in the 80's and early 90's the bass guitar was always low in the mix.

The 2004 remastered version is terrible, especially the vocals which are wayyyyyyy too high in the mix. One might even suggest that some parts were re-recorded, but I'm too lazy or indifferent to look into this any further. Sometimes you just gotta leave well-enough alone! Dave's compulsion towards perfection is a fatal fault. Constant tweaking, always wanting better, often lends itself to an inferior end product especially where art is concerned. I suggest skipping the remaster and seeking out the original recording for optimal enjoyment. Original: 5 stars!!!!! 2004 Remaster: 3 stars at best!!!

I just bought the Greek edition (cat# 7919351, 062 7919351) with switched labels, a-side label goes on the b-side etc. Anyone else got the album with switched labels?
