Capitol Jax

Capitol Records CD manufacturing plant, which started CD manufacturing in late 1986 at the site of EMI Jax between March and October 1993.

CDs can be identified by "CAPITOL JAX", "CD JAX" or "JAX" stamped in the CD matrix string in a blocky dot matrix font.

Most (if not all) of Capitol Jax discs were pressed using glass masters made by other plants:

These glass masterers can be identified and credited according to instructions found on their respective label pages.

When entering Capitol Jax in LCCN, please use the 'Pressed By' role.
Do not use 'Glass Mastered At'.
