My copy sounds amazing (no pun intended). I guess those complaining don't have great equipment. -
this pressing sounds amazing. completely silent and really full. colour is gorgeous and fits the cover perfectly! jacket and sleeve are nice quality, just forever a shame that music wasn’t a gatefold :/ -
My copy is ok.
The overall sound quality is really good but my copy has a scratch in the whole second and in the intro of the 3rd tracks which you can really hear!
After a wet clean the vinyl sound pretty good (except for the scratch) with some surface noise and some random pops -
I have to echo the other reviews when I say that this pressing is very crackly. It sounds like it was mastered extremely well with dynamic, punchy sound, but the quality of the vinyl just isn’t there. Side B is better than Side A, but I think you’d mostly want this pressing for the collectors value. For sound quality, go with the black.
Edit: I did buy my copy second-hand, but I don’t think that that’s the cause of the crackles, as that just seems like a common problem with this pressing. -
Edited 5 years agoA lot of surface noise on both sides even after wet cleaning. Great mastering but not so great quality of the vinyl itself.

Edited 6 years agoI thought my original pressing of 2000 sounded amazing. But this blue copy from Fnac sounds like heaven. Best copy of Music. It’s not 180, but it’s far superior to the recent 180 version of 2017. :) -
Listening to at the moment, always spin clean my vinyl before playing, and this sounds wonderful to me . Super clean -
Edited 6 years agoSide A has lots of surface noise. There's a bump (or pit) near the start of the second song in my copy, resulting in two very audible pops.
Side B on the other hand is excellent, hardly a crackle or pop to be heard. -
Never heard the earlier represses, just this one and the original from 2000.
My copy sounds just right. A large improvement compared to the original 2000 version sibilance-wise, surface noise-wise and overall-wise :)
