Serj's Poem on the cover of side B goes as follow:
"★Contraband contradictions, concocting contractions conceding to caucasian caucases causing casual conclusions concerning inconclusive karma, masking masochistic mosquito massages in masculine mosques, a must see mosaic ! Take your tartar sauce, and your Tinseltown tactics to a Tic-Tac filled trumpet and blow. Enjoy the eloquent essence of esoteric engines humming in Ecstasy, Etc. Actual arctic acronyms were asked to ascertain the astral auspices of acting astericks, that's ass! She sells sea shells BUY THE REAL WH★RE !"
Track 13 (Side C - Track 4) 'F**k The System' is misspelled 'F*** The System' on Lyrics Sheet.
"I-E-A-I-A-I-O" contains interpolations from "Knight Rider" written by Stu Phillips and Glen Larson. Courtesy of Songs Of Universal, Inc (BMI)

Anyone here that can comment on the sound quality of this reissue compared to the original picture disc?
-
The sound is OK, nothing fancy, sounds just a tad better than the spotify version and not by much, it has a little bit more bass and a tiny bit more of definition on the guitars but that's it, not blown away by it, 3.5/5 SQ, Packaging was good tho mine came with a defect on the wax and had to return it.

The sound quality on this release is really excellent. I was shocked at everything I heard. Really happy with this one.

Agree that this is the best-sounding SOAD album. It sounds fantastic. Thankfully, it's my favorite album of theirs too! You also get A LOT more artwork than that original CD release. Even lyrics and liner notes. A great release.

Edited 2 years agoStellar pressing. Highway Song and Streamline sound like completely new songs to me here. Truly killer.
-
As others have mentioned, a really good pressing sound-wise. The art cover is really pixelated though.

Edited one year ago(revamping as my previous review looked like it was written by a caveman)
fantastic sounding press, it all comes at you furiously and loudly. very happy with this pressing. the cover is very jank tho, you can see the artifacting but it makes up in sound. steal it if you really need to, it's an amazing album and a damn good reissue. -
Hearing "Streamline" on this pressing gave me chills! Great sounding record even though the cover is a bit pixelated.
