The credits and matrix information listed for this entry suggest this is a Scorpio release. With Scorpio’s reputation for often (but not always) dubious master sourcing, it’s no surprise this reissue has several poor reviews.

Edited 2 years agoI'm happy with this! I'm not sure but it could be a vinyl rip but at the highest quality. The labels looking perfectly made, could be a official bootleg (?). The sound: a bit bass oversized. A bit quite.... But no noise! All in all a very good pleasant copy of a rare and espensive record. Recomendation if you find the right lot!

Edited 2 years agoWeird that some copies have issues and others like mine are fine?
My copy is great, no complaints here for a wonderful pressing of a fabulous album.
Normally I don’t bother posting my stereo kit as it comes across all audiophoolery and I can’t stand that shit.
But I have a good deck and stylus/cart set up.
Sorry to hear about others bad experiences. -
Beautiful album, but without doubt the noisiest pressing of any album I've ever heard. Purchased new and I can't listen to it. Cleaned it several times but to no avail. If I want to listen to it, I stream it. Sounds so much better, that tells you how bad the vinyl is. Totally unacceptable.

Vinyl Me, Please is reissuing this as its June 2021 Classics Record of the Month. Remastered AAA from the original tapes, it should sound light years better than this pressing.

I got overzealous when I saw this reissue was available and ordered without looking at the reviews. A brand new copy and it sounds terrible. The center label lists the wrong sides, with the proper side A sounding worse than side B. Very disappointing.

So i didn't see these reviews until after I'd actually ordered this, but prior to first listen. That being said, I don't think it sounds *that* bad. It's far from perfect to be sure, and perhaps I was expecting much worse, but at the same time I'm happy to have it and would buy again at the price point that I got it for. I've not heard a OG pressing, but would be curious to.
