This simply sounds better than two original presses playing at the same time. Now what?

Just scored an opened one from my local indie while participating in RSD 2025.
Wife is a big fan so happy RSD for her lol.
Only our 4th copy of this now. EU and AU OG and the 2015 remaster. This is the go to now for sure. Sounds and looks fantastic.

Echoing the sentiments already posted. This one does indeed sound excellent. It sounds so good that the neighbors are presently listening :)

I highly recommend this pressing. Be sure to play it loud! 🤘

Sounds okay. Not a world beater IMHO. No regrets but would love to have seen/heard what Bob Ludwig or Chris Bellman could have done with the masters to make this a little hotter.

Fantastic pressing, crystal clear with punchy bass in all the right places. This is the way a repress and remaster should be done. This version blows my other "audiophile" version out of the water. When people argue that analog naturally sounds better than digital, this should be the go-to example.

Fantastic pressing. I have a decent rig, and it can be brutally honest when there are deficiencies in a cut, but on the flip-side, quality cuts will really shine. This pressing lights up. Considering the original analog masters were lost, how can I give anything short of an A+ to the mastering team. Well done. My advice it to get this one while its still <100$, because it wont be forever…

I'll give them props for thinking outside the box and giving us a unique package for this important 30th anniversary release. Problem is nobody wants to see the 'banned' artwork presented like this- they should have kept it simple and put the banned artwork just on the front cover as it should be. I will say the foil slipcase is a nice addition if you also have the UYI deluxe foil cover releases.

If you had the original analog tape, why in the world would you not cut this album all analog?

Just got 2 versions (though categorized under this same barcode)…one with hype sticker and one without. The hype sticker one (purchased from recent shipment from local music store)…I went through two of those albums. Both had visible and audible markings on side 1 track 1 (Welcome to the jungle). I bought a non-hype sticker version at Walmart. Played both the damaged hype stickered vinyl against the Walmart non hype sticker. Totally different. The hype sticker sounded like vinyl (guitars were huge and smooth), the non hype sticker one sounded like a CD (thinner but better separation. Both of these are listed as variants of the same vinyl. They sound completely different! Now I’m trying to find a hype sticker one that doesn’t have the imperfection on track 1
