This is a shockingly badly mastered album. After the incredible fidelity of the previous several releases, year of the snitch is very difficult to listen to. Clipping, gain, extremely harsh, and it is clear none of this is 'part of the tone of the album'. It's just badly produced. such a shame.

When compared to the black vinyl, i've noticed that there's a lot more runout space on the clear one. Which is odd, because it sounds better than my black copy. Fantastic pressing, the clear is so clear it's like the record's made of glass. -
There's something weird about my YotS vinyl.
The cover and the vinyl stickers have Caroline attached to it but the vinyl itself is the normal black instead of the clear version Caroline mainly did. -
Looks like there is a delay in the green vinyl, its saying on the site that it won't ship out till the 21st of September now.

Absolutely terribly mastered album. Coming off the heels of such a competently mastered work as Bottomless Pit, Year of the Snitch is absolutely shocking in its hot, clipping, awful quality.
The album is so poorly mastered, every track is full of clipping and compression. It is totally distracting and a real shame, because underneath the mess is an obvious great album that is unfortunately distracting and unpleasant to endure due to the mastering.
Hopefully some to-come issue resolves this, but it seems unlikely. -
