Edited 2 years agoWith the 2011 Chris Bellman cut getting harder to find, I decided to pick up this current in print pressing at Barnes and Noble. Glad I did! Spectacular stuff. Some of the quietest grooves you’ll ever come across. And I listen to most of my vinyl via headphones.
Mastering itself is a superb. Never heard Dee Dee’s bass this well in all of my years of listening to this album. Tommy, Joey and Johnny explode through the speakers as well. Just a delight.
Good to know that one of the great albums of all time is available via an affordable, well put together and easy to find edition.
Compared this to my 2016 Mono Edition on vinyl and this one wins hand down. The mono edition is a pretty harsh on the top-end.
For those who own both this and the 2011 version, is it worth tracking that one down? -
About as good as you can expect this album to sound. I've heard this on so many formats and this reissue vinyl is now my favourite.

Edited 3 years agoGreat sound of this half speed mastering at Abbey road. Just be aware that the 1st brand new copy I got had some damages on the border of the vinyl. There were some manufactured scratches and some dust inside the lacque that created some bulges here and there, and also few stains of grease. Hopefully, I could exchange this copy in my music shop without any problem. The new one looks perfect.

My copy sounds great. Crisp sound with clear high and low ends, paid a little less than the median price for a brand new copy. I think it's worth the price if you don't find a fair priced second hand record
-
I gave mine away. Nothing wrong with the pressing itself, but I didn’t really enjoy the "over-remastering" and actually prefer older, more natural sounding reissues.
