    My copy of this I had (and sold on to a local dj) was yellow vinyl with white labels. Given to me personally by Mr Paul Modo as a thank you for supplying Alex Patterson of the orb with 2 c90 cassettes full of obscure samples, one of which was used on an orb lp. Not listed here though.

      Eleye does the trick for me, so underground, so underground, so underground.. Never had so many layers and layers of undescribable feelings inspired by a song

        The difference between the NSC & D&M masters of the UR mix (I didn't have time to check the A side tracks but I guess they would be the same) is quite a lot. The NSC master is fairly bright (some might say very slightly harsh around the 2K-4K area) with everything above 2K boosted compared to the D&M which unsurprisingly has more warmth in the bottom end from 200..ish HZ right down to 20HZ as well as smoother in the upper frequencies which at a guess is from tape saturation. Also I dare say that I can hear that the D&M version went through a multi band compressor and the NSC didn't, I checked via listening as well as running them both through frequency analysers & RMS meters.
        Obvisously D&M is known for its warm masters and listening back to back with the original NSC master is a great example of this.
        If you really love this record I would go so far as to say you really need both versions as (to me) they are significantly sonically different from one another.

          Imagine this with the track 'Eleye' on:

          It's 3am on a warm summer night. you have taken a couple of E pills and smoked some good weed. you decide to walk for miles along the highway, sidewalks are empty except for the sound of your feet. 'Eleye' comes on your iPod. you loose sense of fear and a rush feels you in, you decide to walk through the highway, dodging cars and cheating death. The further 'Eleye' goes the further you feel like you are entering your consciousness. the city and you are now one. darkness around engulfs the insides of you, yet calm sets in. You enter an overhead connecting one side of the sidewalk to the other, in the end there's a fork on the road. one side is lit by street lights, the other a pitch black alleyway. the handclaps have started on 'Eleye', you look down, written on the road in graffiti it's marked: YOU ARE ABOUT TO ENTER THE TWILIGHT ZONE...

          you walk to the pitch black alley as the track ends.

          true story.
