Notes
The 50th Anniversary reissue of Frank Sinatra & Antonio Carlos Jobim. The label is very close to the original, but uses a different typeface and is lacking the "Reprise" name in the grey area underneath the album title. Features a hype sticker on the shrinkwrap and comes with a rice-paper, plain inner sleeve.

Edited one year agoGreat sounding pressing. Frank sounds amazing and the stereo separation is pronounced and well mastered lovely to have these classics in such a beautiful sounding package. A

It’s a loud mastering and it seams to be done at the limit because there’s a slight distortion on Sinatra’s voice that compromise a bit the sound quality. But I’m happy with the purchase. It’s still pleasant.

Is it only me that finds Frank's voice in the girl from Ipanema has great sibilance? Other songs sound fine.

Great reissue, very dynamic sound, Sinatra's voice is much clearer that Jobim's (Carlos sounds like played from tape with too much dolby setup). Orchestra and guitar very dynamic and clear. Beautiful reissues from this Sinatra's vinyls batch.
-
Very nice sounding pressing. The voice is well separated from background and sounds more than ok. Maybe bass is not contour but purss nice and absolutely does not dominate all the rest. And there is enough space between instruments. Summarizing - nice warm sound. Separate words of praise for the pressing - quiet, without other unwanted sounds. And perfectly flat.

Beautiful music, poor pressing. Just bought this edition. It's nasty. Muddy. Frank's voice sounds just ok, but considering the sound on the other instruments, it only suggests to me it could sound much better. The bass on this pressing is fluffy so if you turn it up it's distorted but if you drop it back it's non-existent. It's a lifeless pressing; don't be fooled by the 50th Anniversary sticker as there is no indication this is remastered or what it has even been mastered from.
