Just stunning. Night & day difference compared to any previous edition. The remix by Sean Brenna is clean & balanced, while Kevin Gray’s mastering, as always, is pure perfection.

A piece of history. A part from the fact that the movie itself is a cult, this particular version was the n1 album in the uk in 1965.
A must have in every collection imo.

Great story, great movie, great soundtrack. My copy is clean, flat and quiet. The vocals are upfront and the children's choral singing is dynamic. I bought this directly from Craft Recordings.

I'm mostly into stereo recordings but this mono sounds really good. For its age, my copy plays through clearly with only soft clicks on the quieter songs. Every song is wonderful and well produced. And why not; it's Rogers and Hammerstein.

My pressing is on black vinyl, so this release needs to be added to the database. Don’t pay double the price for the Meadow Green edition. This black vinyl 3LP is absolutely spectacular. ✨ A lot of love went into this project. From the remix, to the remaster, to the pressing and artwork, ‘The Sound Of Music’ never sounded or looked so good. No more distortion or excessive tape hiss, found in all earlier pressings.

This is a tremendous and tremendously important and very exciting release.
First to hear the ENTIRE soundtrack on vinyl for the first time is exciting enough. But the sonic improvements over whatever WAS the best sounding original single LP release are nothing short of astounding. Most notably improved are the songs by the nuns chorus. Wow! BUY THIS TODAY!

I’m rarely blown away by the quality of a record, this LP is definitely one of the rare times I was totally blown away! Been a fan of the music and the film since forever, I never heard the music that pristine and that clear! My goodness, unbelievable quality! And it’s the full score plus the songs which is a rare plus over the original pressing from the year of release! Absolutely essential for any fan of the music and the film!

Discogs says it’s mastered by Kevin Grey but I could find any other source for it, the deadwax wasn’t clear. Can someone confirm please? Thanks!
