Fantastic pressing with incredible dynamics. The definition of 70s arena rock!

My copy has some weird surface noise in the left channel only. I'm going to give it a thorough cleaning and hopefully that will clear up the issue. Otherwise, it sounds okay. Nothing spectacular but definitely acceptable.

I'm in agreement with the majority of reviews here. Compared to my WLY copy, this KPG remaster is definitely cleaner and benefits from avoiding most of the IGD that the WLY suffers from.

Though, I get why people love the WLY cut. It's still powerful and lively, but it's hard to find one in good shape these days. This copy is a good way to eliminate all the variables out there, if you can find one around $50 or less.

Bought this album in 1976. Still have that pressing. I was 12 yo. It’s been from LI, NY to Phx, Az, to New Haven, Ct and now resides in Maine. Still plays excellent.

Think it was recorded in a basement studio on an 8 track board. Incredible.

Not sure back then they could reproduce it live.

Fantastic album. Im not sure of my exact release as it's tough to find everything that matches up. I THINK this is the one I have but really any of these releases from the original year should sound fantastic due to the way they were created in Toms basement. Gotta love that!

Huge soundstage, vocals spread across the stereo imaging, and the guitar solos leap out of the speakers and echo overhead.

This is a helluva of record including the best hard rock song ever written More than a feeling,no one else comes even close(Sorry about that).Every song is just great no let downs what so ever 10/10 all the way through.I hearing more on the radio back in the day but didn’t catch what it was(Finland back in 1976) but a friend had recorded it so problem solved.Ordered the record the day after this occured and rest is history,still sounds as good as back then.Yi haaa!.

Damn, use this to demo your gear! This is a fantastic pressing with perfect EQ and balance. The louder you play it, the better it sounds!

Yep, regardless of the naysayers, these ALL ANALOG (confirmed by the engineer!) pressings by CBS can be quite good. Maybe not every one, but this one sounds great, very open, separated, and dynamic. FWIW, their pressing of Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here is considered one of the best versions, and believe it or not, Santana's Abraxas is F'n breathtaking! Forget the 1-Step... 😁
