All the bonus tracks available on this Munster Records-issued vinyl repress of a great album are available on CD. The tracks Metro Poly Train, Oming In and Mirrors of Light can be found on Blake's Lighthouse Anthology, while Surf and the two Synthese Intemporells are available on Esoteric's Crystal Machine CD.

This is a cool record but original copies can be found here on Discogs, and out in the wild, quite cheaply. Why buy one of these reissues? Considering that the label specifies "printed record labels" as some sort of bonus is reason enough to move on.

I ordered a new copy of this and it's a CD-R. Is there a real CD version or was it always a CD-R? Tangerine Dream's Green Desert is another Cherry Red release I purchased recently that turned out to be a CD-R.

I like this reissue but I think I would love it if the lock groove like the one on the original release was included. But! I do think this 2 disc reissue from Monster Records is really very nice. Not only was the audio presentation good and clear with all the anticipated right highs, mids and lows, the added bonus tracks actually enhanced the overall music experience and didn’t feel tacked on or distracting. Also the cover is a well made reproduction that comes with a printed interview with the artist Tim Blake. All in all... Well done!

...does anyone know if this edition preserves the lock-groove that's on the original pressing?

Wow. I can deal with a no frills release. Lightweight vinyl, cheap packaging, and no extras doesnt bother me one bit. But the dang copy is noisy. Mine has a constant static on the right channel. Yes I tried cleaning, made no difference. I just really hope other people have better luck with this one.

Printed record labels? Really? SCORE! What a lovingly assembled reissue.

I will say that my copy sounds very nice: Clean, quiet, minimal surface noise. The only disappointment was that the lock groove at the end of side B present on the original was not reproduced.

Be aware that, compared to the original LP and Mantra CD, this Voiceprint reissue had a number of mastering flaws, not least sounding very dull and flat. That, in addition to having the wrong info inside the booklet, means you should only really buy it if you see it cheap and aren't really bothered about such things!
