Edited 3 years agoRemarkable because these compositions from 1947 really set the tone for "popular" music over the next 20 years. This style of sound and orchestration is heard on countless other albums well into the '60s. Its an enjoyable collection of eccentric jazzy tunes that really predate themselves.
