The Time – Ice Cream Castle

This album sounds strong and very good. However, the album is very thin. I recommend this album with this original pressing for those who like the Minneapolis sound.

The comic-relief "bad guys" in Prince's movie, this band has a kind of lol presentation. They don't take themselves too seriously musically, though in the movie, they act like they are the cat's meow. There's a handful of s-bombs on the tracks, mostly as soto voce's at the end of a song, which kind of cemented them as the villain in the movie, and the s-bomb delivered with a long drawn-out style was their trademark. Has their big hit at B1. Otherwise, mostly harmless jams.

Great 80s time capsule that jumps out of the speakers, while the sleeve is a mess and the record looks like its best days are far behind it. They sure knew how to put music on vinyl back then, didn't they?

Hello all. In my record collection I found a copy of Ice Cream Castle with all the same identifying numbers and specifications shown herein, only the name is shown as Morris Day and The Time in the same pink/rose-colored text in the upper R corner of the album's cover. It also reads Morris Day and The Time on the album's spine. Can anyone else confirm this version exists besides me? Thanks!

Underestimated last record of The Time. Prince is all over this record and just listen to this very danceable version of The Bird. Hard not to dance on that. The Vinyl is quit thin, like most records in the eighties. But recording quality is great.
