"doom er" marc acardipane seems to have had a sudden change of mind, because now it's "apocalypse never"?
either way, it's a superb track somewhere between hardcore, doomcore, and gabber; i won't describe it further, as you probably know it already!
"Hell-E-Copter" is one of these speed-up / slow-down tracks, and i think P always does this very well.

Easily one of the best releases of 1997 for sure.
Imo it stands for the start of a sort of resurrection of hardcore/gabber with more influences of techno and focus on details and the kickdrum. A few slow "new style" releases were already put out, but didn't reach the quality and hypnotic power like this one did.

Something of a surprise that there aren't more reviews of this record. Hard to believe that it's now almost 20 years old as it doesn't sound in the least bit dated. Apocalypse Never is the standout track of the two on offer, a hypnotic groove with a solid kickdrum that draws you in and seems a lot longer than its 7 minutes. Cold Rush has always been touted as music for big arenas and this is a perfect example of that.

Hell-E-Copter on the flip didn't get anywhere near as much play but it's a solid track and a great example of why this style is referred to as doomcore.

Acardipane has made track "Apocalypse Never" in response of a track by Davie Forbes; "Apocalypse Now".
Acardipane says in an interview he doesn't believe in armageddon and all that stuff. In an other interview Acardipane says he's terrified of the apocalypse.
Eventhough he's frightened of it, everytime this record get's played a small apocalypse starts because partypeople are going wild on this tune and they will tear down the roof of the disco for sure :).
