Terrible mixing on this one in my opinion. Lacks sharpness, way to muffled. Cannot recommend!

Okay boot, packaging is nice, however first song on A side have a pressing fault with the audio, audible ”jump” in the music, like it skips forward. -
Very nice version of this album. Sounds fantastic.
Regarding the cover - the cover is from the first press CD which is a much dirtier version of the album art than on subsequent pressings.
The image on the LP is actually pretty cool and is not pixellated. It is very dirty though. Don't let it put you off. -
Absolute bs! Listened to this accidentally and thought what a crappy darkthrone album.

Idk what the complaints are about, but I just listened to the whole album, and mine sounded flawless throughout the whole play, I always spin clean the record before I play it and I clean the the tip of the needle with this jell material, and I have the cheap $200 audio technica so yea, could be a quality control issue though, or just how the album sounds because of the production -

Black metal: four landmark tracks up to around 28 minutes (tracks 2,3,4,7) .
Ambient & instrumentals: 13:28 into four separate tracks, two of them being opener and closer (ambient tracks with the closer having actual lyrics) and the other, two instrumentals together in the middle, first of them being Han Som Reiste, the saddest keyboard based dirge-like instrumental.

Edited one year agoI'm really impressed by the sound quality which is amazing but concerning the cover quality, I'm a bit disappointed... the the front cover is really pixelized, but I've never seen the cover of the original first press.
However, I keep it for sound and to no buy anything from Back on Black editions...
