Samples the previously unreleased version of Carol Williams - Love Is You issued on 12" Gold Master Series - Volume One in 1994.
First released as an instrumental on Spiller - Mighty Miami E.P. in 1999.
Defected acquired the rights to the record in March 2021 and reissued it, with a replayed sample, later the same year.
The title is inspired by the Groove Jet nightclub in Miami.

Sound quality on this release is not great compared to other options, and a few of the remixes seem slightly sped up. However, it's the only CD to include the Ernest St Laurent versions.

referencing Groovejet (If This Ain't Love) (CD, Single, Stereo) CDTIV-137

The 12 inch version of this release features the extended version of the song with an edited version of the remix. I'm sure it would not have hurt to feature these two versions in addition to the content here as a CD can hold more music, however I heard there is a rule stating that singles can not be longer than 20 minutes. This very release, as well as many others is proof that this should be changed.

I think the magic of this track is the instrumentation used as opposed to the vocals which are a little flat. Sophie Ellis-Bexter has done better.

This is quite a good dance tune and one which has been ed for a while. I Victoria Beckham was asking Spiller to delay the release of this title in order to give her song a chance to get to number one. He refused and as a result this track went to number one while Victoria Beckham got to number two instead. I could understand her concerns.

In my honest opinion, this vinyl has the only two versions worth having, the original and the newly made vocal version and it also has a strange dub type mix which sounds a lot like the original non-vocal version with minor changes here and there but as it has the two good versions, you can't really fault this release at all. Many releases of this nature feature remixes and they seldom sound good.

Defected are trumpeting this as a reissue of the original, finally back available to after an absence of many years. However they freely it elsewhere that in order to license the release they had to replay the Salsoul sample the to past greed from that label regarding clearance, and then had Spiller rebuild it with the other original elements. So these are not the original tracks you are getting here, they are recreations, albeit you might not realise from listening alone.
