I'm in need of a link to buy various kind of blank sleeves/jackets.

+1 to that. Protected is great especially when you need good quality inner sleeves or plastic sleeves.

But are there any better sites to find plain outer sleeves when you want to buy a large number and expect a low price? (By large number, I mean a few hundred.)

the outer sleeves by Protected suck, avoid at all cost! They're extremely cheaply made and the center hole does not "line up" with the center labels of the records. This place has good stuff: http://www.sapphirerecords.de
They also have those "Japan" plastic inner sleeves at half the cost of the outrageously expensive Nagaoka ones.

You're talking inner sleeves now, right? They have 2 quality types with different prices. I have a batch of the standard quality ones now. Not bad at all for the price paid and yes you get a minor defect every now and then. I've also had the high quality ones, and they are perfect. Outer sleeves are fine too. Also available in two thicknesses.

I've looked at the site and Sapphire Records' outer sleeves look exactly like the ones from protected.de, even the same red elastic strings used to bind them.

I think he meant the product "LP Cover Mittelloch", the black/white outer sleeves.

The standard inner sleeves from Protected (LP Innenhüllen) are cheap and the quality is excellent. The only problem with them is that they're too large for the smaller sleeves... I've never liked plastic inner sleeves.

The 12" card sleeves, 7" paper and 7" card sleeves are all great, though I wasn't too keen on the 12" paper sleeves, they're too large for the smaller outer sleeves as mentioned above. Their service is pretty good too, they invariably have the goods delivered <48 hours.

The Protected inner sleeves are good but I always bought mine from Sapphire because they're a bit cheaper and they have some stuff that Protected doesn't have like poly lined inner sleeves for 10" records and those cheaper "Japan" poly inner sleeves.

Single Piece Slate looked to make some good stuff, but they stopped cutting over a year ago.
and http://www.poly-cut.com seems promising, but I tried to them about a project I want to do but they never got back to me. (Do these dicks want my money or not?!)

I have about 3 records (singles/EPs) ready to go and I just want to do a handful of copies.
I'm never gonna have a large amount pressed again (too much of a pain, too expensive, and takes up too much room).

+1. Good quality sleeves, reasonably priced, and they charge actual shipping costs.

i would try iloveimprint.com , we got a lot of 2x12" wide spine jackets custom made that were reasonably priced. you could probably get a quote on 10" stock.
