there is a lot of movements in IDM currently. they keep popping up seemingly every day. some producers are diversifying 140, some are bridging gaps between techno and drum&bass, some stubbornly limit themselves to breakcore or gabber conventions--afraid to let it go like a child the hand of a parent. and a lot are conjuring glitch that doesn't go anywhere and is released seemingly for the sake of aelgorithm showcase, its producers unbothered by where it goes and where it doesn't go or even if it's bringing anything interesting to the table: novelty for the sake of novelty. I'm sorry, but music isn't automatically good or interesting just because it's new, or produced without structure, or with unheard before samples.

then there's producers who absolutely destroy conventions and structural expectations, but in ways that inspire thought, addiction, and utter awe, to the point that makes you go "how is this music possible? was it always possible? am I in the fucking future right now? I can't believe the audio that's being reproduced through my headphones right now." it's likely that you know the feeling, and also likely you haven't experienced it in a while. recently I took it upon myself to get out there are dig for tracks that give me this feeling--and since I'm fucking depressed, I'm looking for those that are on the heavier, noisier spectrum.

here are the tracks that I found, and if you know of tracks that you believe could be put on this list, I would appreciate your recommendations:
