Hi, I did some research both in the database and forums, but I couldn't find anything that looks like what I'd like to request today, so here goes.

As you may already know, in the 2000s, there was a fad to try to push for single use rental DVDs in the market. Different brands existed around the world and across the years such as "Flexplay", "eZ-D", "DVD-D", etc. To encom all of these technologies, I think having a "Disposable" tag would be appropriate—I also considered "Time-Limited" or "Perishable", but these could be more easily misinterpreted. "Disposable" does exclude a format such as DIVX unlike "Time-Sensitive" since it's not based on a technology that physically renders the disc unusable, so there's room for debate.

As far as I'm aware, these perishable discs existed both in the form of pressed DVDs and DVDr, but I doubt anyone had the idea to burn their release on one of these so it could be a DVD-specific tag. All in all, there's probably a couple hundreds of music-related titles out there at best, but they do exist and as such, I feel they deserve a way to be identified. I have a DVD-D copy of MIKA (8) - Live In Cartoon Motion coming in the mail, and as things stand in the database, I'm not even sure how I would describe it using FTF alone (ie. listing the tradermark vs the technology itself).

Granted these formats are perishable which makes it hard to check content for submission so many years after they expired, but that's basically CDr issues on steroids. :^)

    Any thoughts?

Now that the DVD-D I've mentioned is submitted to the database, I would like to take this opportunity to bump this thread.
