If you're referring to voting privileges then no, the system has the ability to grant/remove those permissions based on the 's activity.

I am trying to get us off the CIP and have read various forums about needing votes etc. I have requested these but received a reply saying we need to get our ranking up. I understand that in order to do this I need to correct old mistakes and get positive votes.

Looking back at our old submissions, the mistakes appear have been corrected by other s. What should I do in these circumstances? Also, I am unable to edit due to being on the CIP, so I am struggling to find a way to improve our ranking and get off the CIP.

I would really appreciate any help and guidance. It's definitely been a steep learning curve but I really think we are ready to be submitting and editing again.

Can anyone help me get off the CIP. It's been 3 months now. There are no changes I can make since the "problem entries" were either removed entirely (I didn't understand where the dividing line was for digital releases to count or not) or merged with another entry (entered something that already had an entry that was hidden in the "other" section. Tried to delete my entry but was told not to, merges instead of deletes are the policy). In addition any requests I make for votes are ignored entirely despite my listing some entries that can automatically be voted on by anyone (the new info can be verified through other sources, it doesn't require owning the cd).

That's not true. If you go to your main profile page and click the "Pending" link, you'll see that there are 166 releases that you can continue to edit and receive votes for.

I've been on CIP for 3 years mostly because of this and try as I might to fix it I get conflicting and confusing viewpoints as well as edit requests that are impossible to ister BECAUSE I am on CIP. Edit: I had a ton of contributions that had variations of "Not On Label (ArtistName Self-released)" with captialization, spacing, hyphen, etc. errors but can't correct those while on CIP... but I think, otherwise, that I was able to tidy up most glaring mistakes before I got sent to jail, haha.

As far as I can see your low voting average was mostly achieved from multiple EI's by that complaining that some releases were unofficial when they were not. Bad votes. Since you have no edits left for us to vote on I'd suggest you ask staff if they can remove you from CIP manually. You were not really supposed to be here.

I’ve fixed a stack of other submissions if you have time to look at them mate.

37 7” singles all I had to do was change from 1&2 to A&B in the track listing.

apparently, i am in need of some mentorship; if whomever is the next available cip coach can message me, id like to get things squared-away asap. i have already made the corrections suggested on my pending entries.

I'm a named artist (https://www.discogs.sie.com/label/619950-Headstretch-Records) on here. I'm trying to sort out the correct information for products that I have been personally involved and need help please because I'm on CIP.

For example, I released an album digitally (2013) and on vinyl (2014). The digital release was under the name McKenzie Gardiner shown here https://www.discogs.sie.com/McKenzie-Gardiner-Songs-From-Time-The-Lost-Demos/release/5103898
but was updated the following year to McKenzie & Gardiner for both the vinyl release AND the digital release https://www.discogs.sie.com/McKenzie-Gardiner-Songs-From-Time-The-Lost-Demos/release/6343395

The previous digital artwork was removed and updated to match the vinyl version. A check on Spotify shows this to be the case as I updated the metadata for all digital services. However on here, the digital album is still shown in its un-updated form. I need this corrected please. I dont mind who does it (as I said I'm on CIP) but I'd just like the correct information live please to match what can be found on digital services.

I'd also like to merge https://www.discogs.sie.com/artist/5535083-Clive-Gardiner-2 as they are both me. I have several other Executive Producer credits to add once the merge is done.

I'd of course like to come off CIP so I can post new releases, but correcting the above would be a great start.

3 out of these 7 votes are negative, as I tried to sort out live recordings from the albums section of an artists page (Pixies) into one Master Release. Apparently it wasn't meant to be done like that, which I can understand now. Won't try to do that again. But I still think it's unfair to put me on the CIP for one mistake!

I have wrongly added the same single for four times, because it was always deleted/merged by some due to a my error in copyright company data. It could had seen as spam. This was my 1st error in a long time collaboration in the DB. Maybe someone reported the event to the staff, so the CIP. What can I do to escape it?

Is there a quick way to put in these search filters? I feel like if this was more clear to s we would better be able to see what needs to be fixed. The way this is all organized is just extremely frustrating but I will try and fix up what I can when I have the time. I probably have mistakes from years ago so I don't know if it is all going to be worth it.

How about you fill in your country of intended distribution? All but one of the last dozen I looked at the country is blank. You need to correct your submissions to get off CIP. If I voted now I would have to vote your last dozen as all needing minor changes. On the two that have this blank filled, it was filled by other s who will get the votes if I voted on them.
No, this is not a required space for submission, but it seems like it is for a correct vote.

Are you aware of the fact you have only 1 pending and you can therefore make 2 new submissions?
You are allowed to have 3 being in CIP …
Best would be you prepare 2 new submissions – not yet submit them but hold them back as Drafts – and then ask again for somebody to check them and give advice.

That would be a possibility to get more Correct votes and increase your average.

I am stuck in the CIP since last year. It is my fault because I didn't read the Database guidelines before doing some changes. My bad. Now I know what the guidelines are. I cannot add a new vinyl release because I have more than 3 submissions pending votes. Can someone help me with my 7 remaining submissions ? Hi! Is there anyone available to give me some suggestions about how to get out of the CIP? I have 120 pending releases because 3 years ago when i have started to my collection many of them do not even exist on Discogs. Today i wanted to add other records and discover that i'm part of CIP :(((

I ask everyone who is available to spend a few minutes of your time evaluating the recent corrections and edits by jaimejun. The is in the CIP because of successive and recurrent errors committed in the last 20 days by the operator of the , a young librarian with no experience or knowledge with the Discogs Guidelines who was hired to do in inhuman time a job she was not prepared to do.

I would like to get some help and guidelines on how to make my subs correct. I tried to do it as good as I could but I know I was also lazy and sloppy in some regards, but I think I have corrected that now. But I also want to become better in the future.
