Received a 1974 Ardent DJ copy of Big Star's Radio City this morning with B side labels on both faces (a previous owner had helpfully demarcated the 'Side A" in ballpoint pen). How would YOU enter such an anomaly - as a footnote on the master page, or would you create a unique entry?
IMHO it is a mispress because they didn't print the wrong label, they stuck the wrong label in the pressing machinery. However, Move Any Mountain (Pro-Gen)
Unless it's a batch of records that are pressed with the B-side label on both sides then it's not a reason for a separate release. It's a manufacturing variation. See https://www.discogs.sie.com/forum/thread/703494
I fixed the link to the thread in my post above. Management had said in that thread that Misprint was appropriate (even though some of us felt Mispress was better). The definitions in the formats list were changed to what they are now specifically to address this situation!
And now that I look at these other threads, it seems there is a new decision every couple years. I give up!
