what I have to do new submission?

You need Correct votes on your current submissions. When those votes happen you may be able to submit another release. While you are on CIP you can only have three submissions so they must be put right first.

  • Show this post
Start by fixing your outstanding submissions. I believe the point of CIP is that you cannot submit anything else until you understand how to do it correctly.

I have contributed over 100 records from my collection and now can not go and edit anything in my submissions because I am on the CIP. I have over 100 in current submissions and only 1 total vote. Seems pretty ridiculous that I can't go edit records that I own and now people are going and editing them wrong and I can't fix them. I really thought this was the best site to document my records, but now it is making it impossible to add new records when I get them.

kingsleymole have all asked the same question: "how do I get off the CIP?"
The answer is very simple (simple to explain, that is) - you need to get your average score up. To achieve this, other s have to vote on your submissions. A correct vote is worth 4 points, so each correct vote will raise your average a little.
There is a dedicated thread elsewhere in the forum where you can ask for votes here.

went through some of your subs and left comments.
did your other also land in the CIP? you know it's forbidden to use a second to get around a CIP restriction, right?
though even if not for that reason, you are in the CIP for making many simple mistakes that a cursory familiarization with the guidelines would have helped you avoid them. please refer to the comments left on your subs and make the necessary corrections. once your submissions are correct, a correct vote will follow and you will soon be removed from the CIP.
the sooner you cooperate, the sooner you'll be back in action.

Good to see a fresh forum thread here, where the other 'official' one for begging for submissions votes means needing to scroll through 8+yrs of posts!

Suffice to say I'm sick of being on CIP. Have been on for almost a year thanks to just 1 other 's bad vote for a ridiculous reason. I thought I was off it a few months ago cos someone did vote on my 3 outstanding submissions, but then I did some more and it turned out I hadn't been released for the CIP trap.

I can't make amends, can't add pics for proof, can't submit new releases, no-one bothers to make votes or leave comments for amending. I have just 3, yes 3, tiny changes I made to the 3 releases listed below..

Yes, for one vote. I am new here and by mistake I ed a wrong cover. I was reported and even I corrected, I was sent in CIP without any explanation. I have 30 pending new releases and even some of them were accepted, they were not voted. So I am going to renounce to use Discogs in such conditions. I have a collection of classical music LPs from Melodiya, Supraphon, Ungarton, etc - from 1970-1990, and the majority of them are not included in the database (not even in the case of some great musicians like Sviatoslav Richter, David Oistrach or Leonard Kogan). On Discogs, Meloclassic, a label that issued over 100 cds with famous piano, violin and cello players - unpublished until now - is included in Discogs with only... 4 ! As long as I am in CIP I cannot add anyone. In such conditions, I have to keep the inventory of my collection in a more friendly software

If not, they might still be there to see for what you got the votes. Otherwise there is no way to know what got the negative votes if the releases have been edited since.

I've reverted the mistakes i made but don't get any votes to get out of Contributor Improvement Program. How am I supposed to contribute and add new releases if I'm locked out? Discogs begs every once in a while that we add as many releases as possible. It's kind of a counterproductive stand from Discogs.

  • Show this post
I'm fairly sure you need to request votes on submissions you know to now be correct. Just reverting an earlier change won't mean a New Submission which may have never been voted on will get voted, since there are thousands, and much more of submissions that have not been voted.

Those with complete images confirming all the details of the latest edit will be best for asking to get voted. You currently have a 2.80 score, and 4.00 for last 10 days so have received some positive votes. I don't know if you need more positive votes or just wait for your latest scores to improve the overall. That bit of scoring is a bit of a mystery.

Wow, that really is quite a lot in a short time! Is it possible for you to take pics of or scan your releases? On CIP you cannot added images, but you can those to an image sharing site like photobucket, and post the links in the release histories. That way others can better advise, and also helps to get correct votes because voters can check all has been entered as presented on releases.

Okay, so I got put on the CIP about a year ago, and I messaged someone from the staff to remove it, and recently my side , DJColors, that got straight up blocked even though it had N-O-T-H-I-N-G to do with this , and was trying to distance myself from this to only DJColors, which I found offensive. I was told to fix my releases that had unanswered questions. I did that, I gave links to file submissions, links to CD information, etc. and I informed the staff about it, and they just responded to me "Here's what you can do to fix your releases" which I JUST DID. I told them (again) that I did fix my releases, and asked what's the problem. Nothing. I got no follow up after that. And they still didn't remove my CIP. Now I have no way to submit anymore releases and I'm pissed. Get me off of this CIP NOW!!!

    How To Escape The CIP

Leaving the CIP is easier than it seems. In order to leave the CIP, you will need to receive enough correct votes on your pending submissions to raise your voting average. There is no need to worry if you have a large number of pending submissions. It is not necessary to receive votes on every pending submission in order to leave the CIP.

This is the link to your pending submissions for your . Click through the list in the column on the left side of page. Any submission here that has votes or comments left by other contributors will need to be reviewed and edited where necessary.

You can also use Advanced Search to find your contributions that needs changes directly. Enter your name under “Submitter”, press the “Needs changes” checkbox and then search. This will highlight any of your submissions that need changes.

If you need assistance finding what needs to be fixed or assistance with explaining how to make requested edits, please make a post in the CIP Sub-Forum.

Once these required edits are performed, you will need to receive votes on these corrected submissions. You may wish to consider making a post in one of these places:

    - Non-English groups - if you need assistance in a language other than English
    - The forum thread for requesting votes on submissions
    - Failing all else, may be able to assist directly. If the above does not help, please create a Request mentioning this message.

When enough votes are received, your will automatically be reviewed by our system and removed from the CIP. This may take a day or two depending on system load.
