It seems British 'underground' bands of 1970/1 wanted to go to the opposite extreme of 1967 psychedelia. Where we had bands with names like Jade Hexagram, Opal Butterly and Tinkerbell's Fairydust in 1967, by 1970 we had Toe Fat, Ancient Grease and 'Igginbottom's Wrench. The sleeve art also appeared to be a conscious attempt to get as far away from the swirling, flowery, fairytale art nouveau influenced themes of psychedelia into deliberately grotesque and ugly designs, such as this for Toe Fat 2. I actually like the sleeve much miore than the music of this. The sleeve turns a pile of rotting organic waste into a surreal alien landscape, the music is unfortunately dull uninspired blues based hard rock that is totally forgettable.

Did or did not John Glasscock play bass on this record? I know the credits state it was John Konas BUT in the liner notes of the German Repertoire release it states "...John Glasscock had...replaced Konas.....and guitarist Alan Kendall came in to replace Hensley. This revamped Toe Fat line up cut "Toe Fat 2"....."
Glasscock is there in the photos of the Repertoire release as well. Can anyone clarify?
