Is that correct?
According to the help section "Made By" is "a generic manufacturing role"

seems very wrong to me... -

No, that's not right. The 'Made By' credit is a manufacturing role. "Original sound recording made by" belongs in the release notes. -

It is also not "Recorded By"

"Original sound recording made by"
mostly written after the ℗ XXXX. So it's more a copyright thing. Or?

what about a "Record Company" credit in such cases? -

In which case I agree it's a (P) copyright, but either way the precise wording in the notes as above.

No, i dont think so.
Copyright has imo nothing to do with the Phonographic Copyright.
Copyright is the right to copy.
℗ stands for phonographic copyright and is a copyright of the sound recording owned by whoever paid for the sound recording (usually the record company).
Could it be that the Original sound recording made by stands here just in relationship with the ℗ and not to label?
So i think writing Original sound recording made by in notes are ok. no?

maybe? but in that case here we have to add the ℗ also to the company Some Bizzare.
I love it:) -

"(P)DATE Original Sound Recording Made By COMPANY NAME" is standard copyright jargon in the music industry. It means the copyright is owned by the company listed. It's the same as saying (P)DATE COMPANY NAME.

It's exactly the same thing. (P) is just a way we express copyright on a sound recording. It's still a copyright.
