Is a 2fer a compilation?

The only tags I used were CD and Reissue, because they are the only ones that apply.
Now someone has added Compilation to them.
From what I took in the recent threads, is that if you're in doubt, and the ONLY correct way, is not to use any album or compilation tags.

My question is: is a 2fer (2 albums reissued on 1 cd) a compilation?

The new guidelines that will be published shortly (if I have understook nik correct) says that a 2fer is a compilation:

Even though they are not yet current guidelines (an of course can be changed when actually published), I will say it is pretty safe to add the compilation tag to a 2fer (btw: IMHO a 2fer isn't a reissue unless the 2fer has been issued before,).

I was struggling to decide if it's even a reissue if both albums were previously issued on cd before.

be sure to watch out, the opposite doesn't make the original a 2fer compilation.

(I mean originally released together, and afterwards released apart, especially happens sometimes with double albums)

I mean, you have to watch out not to confuse 2 albums afterwards released together, with 1 double album afterwards released as 2 separates. (or double album/box sets released at the same time in separate form)
Speaks for itself the latter don't fall under 'compilation'.

How about the 2fer of The Supremes and The Temptations duet albums, issued at least twice as a simple 2fer (on 1 cd), and later issued as a complete studio recordings (2 cd) with lots of extra material. Would this later 2cd issue be a compilation or also reissue?

compilation (2CD comes later)

not a compilation when:
2CD came earlier
2CD came was released together with the single CD's

reissue = exact same material released a 2nd (3rd, 4th,...) time (optional bonus tracks may occur)
