In a harsh PM they told me that I do not have the right to disable their pictures, that I am disrespectful (which I could rightfully return regarding the guidelines) and that every contribution needs a picture (obviously it does not matter to them where the pictures come from).
What to do here? I very rarely submit SRs... The relevant guideline has already been pointed at.

I'm Just annoyed about this Stress and Mobbing that you do. For me this is unacceptable to say Bad Things about someone you don't know. I'm Not okay with this. If, the first time you'd had it explained to you what you were doing wrong, you'd simply checked the rules, said "Oh, yes, you're right. I'll correct my error and do it right from now on," there would have been no fallout.
Instead you figuratively stuck two fingers up and carried on doing it wrong. So more people needed to come in and explain your error; just to clarify that it wasn't one person nit-picking, but it's guidance that you need to follow.
You can think of it as mobbing if you like, but it's not. It's other s trying to encourage you to follow the rules so that the rest of us can get on with our day instead of fighting. Maybe if enough people explain the issue, you'll realise where you're going wrong.

Because that is how we are supposed to do things on this site. That way we have transparency of what is being said between s.
You may not realize it, but your attitude is what is causing the issue here. You are new and inexperienced, you should listen to those who are more experienced, they know how things should be done. Insisting that you are right and everyone else is wrong will not help your cause. Slow down, listen to what is being said and learn from it. If you are not sure you understand what is being said, or why, ask.

Yes, it is their attitude and the resulting personal attacks (which the even expects to be replied to). Ignoring submission guidelines pales in comparison (although this is how it started and my comments were meant as useful advice). The issue could have been solved so easily by ing valid scans.

Really, the biggest problem here is that the rule about correct images is broken literally* every day, and most regular s are long past the point of tolerance regarding it. The fuse is already very short. Not an excuse for any overreacting, merely an explanation for it.
Stick to the rules and all will be golden. Not sure about anything, just ask in the forums.
