I am brand new to Selling on Discogs. I'm pretty sure I filled out the seller info correctly, I went over it numerous times. I tried listing 3 albums yesterday. Inventory says "Pending*. I tried help chat to no avail, and have 2 help "tickets" in with no response. If they are pending because, I'm a new seller, how long till they are posted. Friends have told me they did not have to wait to post. I have a feeling I'm doing something wrong. Any suggestions would be appreciated
Thanks. Oldbaldguy -

Last help ticket I filled out and submitted there was an interminable wait til I heard back- like 5 or 6 days. the help that finally arrived was good. Hope someoine comes along and can give you more help. -

Your friends are not familiar with Discogs' processes to avoid scam sellers.
Friends have told me they did not have to wait to post.
There is a long delay so please just be patient. -

Maybe one time, when there weren't so many scammers around. -

Yeah, you're right. It's for the good of this platform. Thanks -

Be patient on the tickets, it could easily take a week to get in touch with an actual person. Given that you have only had an for ~2 weeks, that is likely the issue, but maybe through the ticket they can speed it up for you... -

I'm having the same issue, im a new seller and it's been 3 weeks now and my items are still pending, been a buyer for a year so it's frustrating, left messages with but they are still open with no reply 😢 -

This largely intentional inefficiency is by design, and has been in place for several years now. As noted above, it is to prevent scamners from flooding the site.
I suggest a nice new feature for Discogs might be:
"Your New Seller wait time is: " (fill in # of days/weeks/months as required). Have a nice day (or week or month)."

I may be preventing scammers, but It's also preventing legitimate sellers, and Discogs, from seeing a profit. -

You are assuming the market at pre pandemic levels. Much different today.....you aren't missing out on the sales you think you are. -

It's been a month for me. They have closed all of my tickets with no comment and marked them as solved. Still pending after 4 weeks is ridiculous. -

Yes same for me with the 'solved' no comment or information added, I don't know what else to do other than wait as I'm getting nothing from , I've even asked if everything is set up right and it's just a case of the new seller pending stage, sent about 6 messages. Very frustrating 😕 -
