Hi - I ed Discogs to catalog my collection and to value it in the process. But I have a couple I want to sell as I know they are rare and I could use the money to move. Unfortunately, one of them is not allowed on Discogs so how do I determine it's value? The set I am talking about is the Led Zep. Destroyer Fan Club 4 album set in the Original Plastic carrying case. It looks brand new inside and possibly never been played. The case could use a good cleaning, but I am not going to touch it up as it's old and deserves its dusty wrinkles.
I found this link to one but not sure what the market is for mine in the USA. It's a Beige color and I haven't found another one as an example in this color. Does that make it more valuable? Is there even a market for this type of set which is considered a "Bootleg"?
Thank you for any advice you can give me. I know I will need to sell it on Ebay or ? so that much I do know, but if there is another site I should use to increase the audience, please let me know.
bootlegs are unofficial pressings and they are not allowed to be sold on discogs or ebay. you could try selling it online with kijiji or Facebook marketplace or craigslist or whatever other buy & sell site. When you have ultra rare items, then you basically set your own price. whatever the buyer is willing to pay.
