Every year, Record Store Day brings exclusives, new releases, and unique box sets to eager fans who queue up at stores. Following the in-person celebrations, fans rush to Discogs to pick up the releases they missed. 2025 was no exception.
This year’s crop of releases had something for everyone. It included records from mega-stars like Insurgence D.C. In total, approximately 350 new releases were available on April 12.
With so much to explore, we analyzed the data to identify this year’s standout releases, from the best-selling and most elusive to the truly unique.

“Fortnight”
Taylor Swift & Post Malone
Every Record Store Day has its one release to rule them all. This past Black Friday RSD, it was Fortnight.”
Just months after earning six Grammy nominations, Taylor Swift has released her Blond:ish‘s remix of the track makes it’s first appearance on vinyl.
Swift has long championed Record Store Day, even serving as its global ambassador in 2022. “Fortnight” marks the latest step in what’s shaping up to be a historic run of RSD releases from her.

Tribute To Nirvana
Post Malone
Post Malone proved his effectiveness as 2025’s Record Store Day Ambassador. His single with Taylor Swift was Discogs’ best-selling RSD release this year, and his Tribute To Nirvana ranked second. The singer often expresses his love for rock, hardcore, and grunge. He channeled that enthusiasm into a 14-song tribute to one of his all-time favorites.
With Tribute to Nirvana, Post Malone and his band, including n Utero‘s “Very Ape.” The record is a solid addition for fans of Nirvana or Post Malone.

The First Time: 10 Year Anniversary Edition
Kelsea Ballerini
The 10th-anniversary edition of The First Time, featuring five additional tracks and a 12-page book-bound jacket reflecting on over 50 career firsts, was a major hit for Record Store Day 2025.
Fans rushed to shops for the exclusive orchid splatter vinyl pressing, seeking a piece of country music history. Upon its original release, The First Time helped Ballerini achieve a groundbreaking accomplishment: she became the only female country artist to reach #1 with her first three consecutive singles from a debut album. Adding fuel to to the fire is the fact that this release marks the second time the record has ever been pressed to vinyl, the first being the original run.

“Guess”
Charli XCX & Billie Eilish
Charli XCX’s 2024 has been Brat campaign was the fourth-quarter addition of Billie Eilish’s verse on the remix “Guess” remix. This addition punctuated an already strong rollout. The single quickly went viral, and several months later, it’s the most-streamed track from the record and its various versions on Spotify, with over half a billion streams.
Charli capitalized on this success with a perfect Record Store Day offering: a 7-inch of the song. At the time of publication, it’s the most-wanted record from RSD this year.

Ready, Set, Go! (Live, Riverside Studios ’03)
David Bowie
On September 8, 2003, David Bowie made history with a groundbreaking live and interactive music satellite event. The concert broadcast from London’s Riverside Studios to 50,000 fans in 86 cinemas across 26 countries. Now fans can pick up a copy of the concert on vinyl.
This Record Store Day release from Rhino marks the first availability of this iconic concert, generating significant excitement among collectors and Bowie enthusiasts. The release, available on 180g heavyweight vinyl and CD, includes a replica poster from the original event, adding to its appeal. Given the anticipation, it’s no surprise it was among the best-selling releases from this year’s event.

Wicked
Stephen Schwartz
Take the soundtrack from one of the most popular musicals in recent memory and release it on a highly limited record, and you’ve got a recipe for Record Store Day buzz. Both the U.S. and European versions of Wicked were among the most-wanted releases from RSD this year, though neither appeared in the top 50 best-selling chart. Demand was high, but availability was limited.
This record is likely to have one of the highest resale margins from this year’s RSD. At the time of writing, copies are selling for over $400. In a notable instance, Tom’s Music Trade in Pennsylvania discovered they had copy number 001 and announced they would hold an auction on Instagram, pledging to donate the proceeds to St. Jude’s.

“Alone” (Four Tet Remix)
The Cure & Four Tet
Surprise collaborations are a Record Store Day staple. This year’s most talked-about was the unexpected pairing of goth rock legends announced it as one of their two RSD releases this year.
The single comes as an exclusive one-sided black label 12″. The band has also announced on X that “all Cure record royalties from the sale of ‘Alone (Four Tet Remix)’ 12′ release will benefit Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF).”
The Cure also released a picture disc of their sixth studio album, Head On The Door, for RSD as well.

Blue Moon Safari
Vegyn & AIR
Blue Moon Safari. AIR’s original album was groundbreaking in the late ’90s electronic music scene. This remix project fuses Vegyn’s experimental style with AIR’s laid back, heady sound. Given the band’s recent successful 25th-anniversary tour and the release on unique colored vinyl, this was destined to be a surefire win.

It’s The Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown!

Limited to 5,000 copies, each release includes a special egg-shaped 10″ in pink, blue, green, yellow, or purple (1,000 of each color were pressed). Following the initial RSD announcement, the release generated significant buzz in record collecting circles due to its unique concept. The hype continued through RSD, with the record becoming one of the best-selling and most-Wanted releases.

Black Samson, The Bastard
Wu-Tang Clan & Allah Mathematics
The Black Samson, The Bastard Swordsman, was a standout release for Record Store Day 2025. Currently, Black Samson is the most elusive of this year’s RSD crop.
