The Cars – Heartbeat City

Fantastic pressing. I thought my original sounded good (and it does), but this Quiex version takes it to the next level. The sound is fuller with crystal clear instrument separation, and just feels more 'alive'. I don't always think audiophile versions of records make a huge difference, but in this case I think it does. If you love this album and want the best sounding version of it, pick this up.

Enter Mutt Lange! Great sounding record. The production is a real departure from what Roy Thomas Baker was doing, but the result is big, open, and really slick (not unlike the sound Mutt Lange was producing for Def Leppard around this time). I can’t imagine there is much room to improve on the laquer cut either. Just a beautiful pressing of an incredible record.

My OG copy totally broke MOFI in every way. Better get the original release in good condition

Sounds excellent to my ears. If you must have this album and want great overall sound, get this one.

Quiet, clear and crisp. Was a $2 purchase at a local shop. Similar to other reviews on other pressings. Only a handful of other times have I been as satisfied with a $2 vinyl purchase. A good, clean, cheap copy of this will do you well.

Dropped my needle and was blown away. Sonic excellence. Wonder how it compares to the OG.
