Hello! We are Vinyl Conflict Records, a brick & mortar store based in Richmond, Virginia in operation since 2008. We add new items to our store almost daily and do regular markdowns on older items, so don’t forget to check in on us frequently! Please read our seller below, as they hopefully outline any questions you may have about how we operate. Thank you for visiting our Discogs page!
GRADING:
Since we are a brick & mortar store, a large portion of our inventory is subject to human interaction 7 days a week. Because of this we tend to grade on the safe side, especially if the album is not sealed. We adhere to the Goldmine Standard for grading, as outlined by Discogs (link below). We do our best to describe any and all imperfections on the vinyl and with the jacket, so with that in mind
- Jackets will *never* be graded above VG+. Jackets are literally made of paper, an incredibly fragile material, which will eventually be shipped to you across the country, or the world.
- Unsealed vinyl will *rarely* be graded above VG+.
- The following will NOT be graded. If you are concerned about the following aspects of an item please message for clarification:
- Vinyl dust sleeves, printed inner sleeves, inserts, posters, shrink wrap, poly bags, and center labels are NOT expected to be graded.
- Cassette and CD outer shells are NOT expected to be graded.
- Inserts, booklets, catalogs, etc — anything ADDITIONAL to the Vinyl and Jacket will only be mentioned specifically if present. If a listing doesn’t say “Insert included” or something similar, assume there is NO insert. (The reason for this is that because we deal with such a large amount of inventory, and so many items never had an insert to begin with, it is much simpler for us to mention what *is* included, rather than what is *not*)

ITEM AVAILABILITY:
Since we are a physical store and naturally prone to human error, sometimes an item you ordered may no longer be available. We know it sucks, we don’t like telling you the thing you want isn’t available, believe us. In this event we will do our best to be prompt with either a complete refund OR a substitution offer. We greatly appreciate your understanding if this occurs.
SHIPPING:
Discogs now automatically calculates your shipping cost based on the items in your cart. If you think you’re being overcharged for shipping feel free to write us. All domestic orders are shipped USPS Media Mail. All international orders are shipped USPS as well. ALL orders are shipped with tracking. If you would like to request a different shipping method (i.e. Priority Shipping, UPS or FedEx, etc…), do NOT pay your invoice with standard shipping costs!!! After placing your order, send us a message & we will help figure out the updated shipping cost.
We *always* remove the vinyl from its jacket, unless it is sealed, and pack with cardboard fillers. If you would like a record unsealed, we are happy to do so — just leave a note with your order (we recommend doing so to avoid seam splits in shipment). We do not use whiplash mailers, and we will not use them for you. If you have specific packing requests we will do our best to accommodate them, but know that we are very serious about the safety of our packages and rarely have issues with our shipments.
We will *ONLY* ship to the address associated with your DISCOGS . You cannot edit your address after an order is placed, and neither can we. If you need an item shipped to a different address, you must put that information in the Order Notes before placing the order. If you send us a message about a change in address, make sure we respond & acknowledge the address change.
All orders ship out within 5 days of receiving payment.
***BRAZIL AND MEXICO***
Before we can generate a shipping label we will need your F Tax ID Number (Brazil) or your Personal Tax ID Number (Mexico). Failure to provide these numbers to us will result in us not being able to ship your package. If one is not provided to us we will reach out to you, but we need you to be prompt in getting us this information so we can quickly get you your package.
RETURNS:
Obviously mistakes happen — sometimes we make a mistake choosing the listing for an album, or maybe the grading isn’t accurate. We do our best to make sure all customers are happy with their order, but — we are a handful of individuals who love records working every day. We’re not Amazon. If you have an issue with your purchase and need to return:
- You have two weeks (14 days) from delivery date to report any issues
- Once a return has been initiated, you have 5 days to put the item(s) in the mail, packed securely as we packed them for you, and to give us a tracking number confirming it is in transit back to us.
- If your order was shipped Media Mail, it must be returned Media Mail, unless you receive a return label that says otherwise (return labels are more expensive for us so please don’t make us give you one)
- You will receive a refund once the item has been returned to us, no sooner
- If you fail to follow these guidelines, we can’t help you
NEW VINYL RETURNS WILL BE TAKEN ON A CASE BY CASE BASIS. WE ARE A SMALL BUSINESS, WE DO NOT MANUFACTURE MOST OF THE ITEMS YOU BUY FROM US.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AS THE BUYER:
You must pay for your order within 5 days. If you need more time, please send us a message and we will try to accommodate. We will remind you a few days after the order has been placed if payment hasn’t been made. We know Discogs can be confusing sometimes (especially for new s). If you do not pay within 5 days, your order will be cancelled and you will receive negative .
