Seller
Automatic Cancellation Policy: Orders will be cancelled if payment is not received within 4 days.
BUYER pays shipping + packaging at near-cost. Rounded for ease.
[NOTE - as of 1st MAY 2025 - charges have gone up again, particularly noticeable at lower weights; 1 x CD, 1 x vinyl 12" etc...sorry but as Discogs now charges 11% gross + PayPal 2% gross on postage +VAT (20% on both sets of charges) AS WELL...p+p has gone up.]
TO THE UK:
For safety and to preserve condition, I usually send separately even if ordered at the same time, but do message me if you'd rather I did not do that, say to save postage.
Seller is in UK.
I regularly update postage + a small sum (at cost) for packaging to reflect what seem to be constantly changing rates.
Now that Discogs charge a fee ON the postage (!!! see below for more details) as well as the item the postage may not be the exact amount I incur, but I'm not seeking to profit from it. Merely to reflect the cost of postage, packaging and the time involved.
TO EU, the wider EUROPE & US.
Seller will ship to Europe, US and Canada and beyond, though both are now expensive, so be aware the numbers don't look pleasant.
I only ship with Tracked + Insured postage.
These shipping figures - nasty as they are - are pretty accurate at present, but do me first to confirm postage + packaging cost IF you'd like non-tracked shipping, subject to the following....
I charge postage at cost + packaging at cost. Or at least as near as is possible to make 'standard' pricing straightforward!
After too many (alleged) non-deliveries to overseas addresses I will ONLY send outside the UK by Tracked/ed/Signed services.
It makes low value items very expensive but I'm afraid I have no alternative, unless you are willing to take a risk on International Standard shipping which is untracked and only tiny compensation. I would have to ask you to agree to take that risk - the hit - if it doesn't arrive. Sorry.
Postage for vinyl will include Signed For to prove receipt by buyer.
Signature is treated as proof of receipt.
This is a private sale, sold as described to the best of my ability and as transparently as is possible.
I am NOT a trader or a flipper.
I simply sell from time to time records I've stopped playing or lost interest in, or duplicates in some cases (I get forgetful!).

DISCOGS FEES HIKE
Please be aware there was a double-whammy price hike introduced by Discogs on 22 May 2023. Since inception Discogs has left the shipping costs as is, i.e. without trying to scoop extra profit from this activity, which was the right thing to do of course, why make profit from a customer's shipping cost? but that's what was introduced on 22 May 2023, as well as a 1% increase across the board, so sadly this has meant shipping costs have been increased for all buyers from this date. An example how fees have massively increased: a £10 LP, with £20 shipping to Japan, previously 8% fee against just the LP price, or £0.80. Now the fee has been effectively trebled. Now 9% of £30 is £2.70, more than a 200% increase. Then they add 20% VAT one the seller's charges.
PayPal then charge me a fee on the amount you pay (inc the postage) + VAT (20%). They pay Discogs. I get the balance so the amount i receive for 'postage' is usually less than I spend before packaging costs.
SHIPPING
Since Discogs migration to automated shipping rates, all shipping rates are now displayed under each item for sale.
If the shipping rate looks incorrect (there are glitches sometimes) then please get in and we will double-check this for you.
I try to provide the very best service I can, but sometimes things go wrong.
I will do my best to assist on the rare occasion this happens.
GRADING GUIDELINES:
As a general rule the Goldmine grading standard is used, however the guideline narrative for NM doesn't make sense (i.e. "the record should look like you have just bought the item and taken off the cellophane wrap"), this makes it virtually impossible to distinguish between MINT and NM, you may as well not have a grade between VG+ and MINT.
So, applying some common-sense, NM is used where with the exception of one or two very light marks or signs of handling to vinyl or sleeve the record is in near mint condition.
Anyone expecting a 10 to 30 year old NM LP to look like it's just come out of the cellophane wrapper is probably going to be disappointed, as they would be with 99% of NM records sold by virtually all other sellers.
I always try to provide detailed descriptions where I use NM and there are any minor or superficial faint marks.
REFUNDS:
Should you wish to claim a refund for goods received that are damaged or not as described, then using the most economical shipping service available you should initiate a return at the earliest opportunity, but in any case within 14 days of the order being received.
Order receipt date assumed to be the shipping date plus 10 days for international shipments and the shipping date plus 3 days for shipments in the UK.
All returned items must be packaged to ensure safe receipt.
shipping services for the returned item is neither required or refundable.
If the cost of return postage is higher than the cost paid to ship the item to you then you MUST get approval for that cost BEFORE returning.
Any damage to goods sustained through shipping will be the responsibility of the buyer, as will any damage occasioned by excessive handling of the goods, i.e. other than to reasonably inspect the goods.
All refund requests are dealt with in good faith, at the point of listing every item is faithfully described, but this is predominantly a used goods market, and items we have listed that appear virtually unplayed MAY still have issues with playback of course, all we ask is that before requesting a refund (in full or part) you properly clean the record / CD.
If after cleaning the item is still not playing as described then of course we will happily accept a return.
All refunds shall be exclusive of any paypal fees, unless the product sold was faulty or not as described.
OVERSEAS ORDERS (NON-UK):
Due to the often high cost of shipping where a return for minor variances versus the description is just not viable, you order from us on the understanding that the cost of shipping for an overseas return will only be reimbursed where there is a fundamental oversight with the description of the item.
By example if you find that there is a little minor background noise that wasn't mentioned in the description, or a very slight warp that isn't audible on playback, then the remedy for this will always be financial compensation, up to the value of the item, and not a return.
This negates the risk of a shipping "penalty" against us for mailing an item overseas in good faith, which is especially impractical and punitive for low value items. If this sounds unreasonable, with the greatest of respect, we would prefer that you didn't place an order with us.
Please consider these points carefully prior to placing an order.
DISPATCH TIMES
I usually try to make a Post Office run within 36/48 hours, sometimes less than 24, but please allow up to 7 days for posting.
