Edited 2 months agoThe best Drum & Bass label of all time 'GOOD LOOKING RECORDS' bring together their collection of Spacey, Atmospheric Drum & Bass tracks on the 'Points In Time' series of CDs. There were 9 in total and there are definitely enough Good Looking Tracks either not on CD or (all the 12'' EPs for a start) and tracks only ever available on 'mix' CDs (This Is Soul Mine by Kymera for one) that could make up 'Points In Time 010/011/012. But as well all know by now, as good a label as Good Looking Records was it's also gone down the path of self destruction and will probably never be resurrected, not in the near future anyway.
Stand out track on 001 is the awesome 'Slipstream' by Blu Mar Ten, not only one of my favorite Drum & Bass tracks of all time but one of my all time favorite tracks of any music. It reminds me of a special time of my life in the late 90s into the 2000's. Sadly even at over 9 minutes long it's still shorter than the 12'' version. 'Elysian Fields' by Artemis is another great track.
Thankfully LTJ Bukem decided to leave off the MC's so no ones ranting over the tracks like on some GLR releases. These are a must have for anyone into top quality Drum & Bass with a full, lush production on the tracks and an essential part of Drum & Bass history.
GOOD LOOKING RECORDS is dead...Long live GOOD LOOKING RECORDS...
