The Eagles were, together with Fleetwood Mac, in the early seventies the embodiment of the American AOR (adult oriented rock). This plate was intended as a concept record but the massive buyers enjoyed especially the catchy songs and unashamedly names any further pretense for granted. Joe Walsh was just added to the group with its melodious singing guitar solos the countrygetinte game of ex-member to replace Bernie Leaden while Randy Meisner profiled more than ever as a songwriter, in songs like Try And Love Again and New Kid In Town. The title track still know to get rid, for example when the voice of Don Henley the epic solo by Walsh.
